We take your privacy seriously. Here's exactly what we do (and don't) do with your data.

Privacy Summary: QRCodeScan processes all QR codes, images, and data entirely within your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. We do not collect personal data, use tracking cookies, or sell any information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect no personal information. QRCodeScan is a client-side application. When you use our QR scanner, QR generator, or barcode scanner:

  • Your images and QR codes are processed entirely in your browser.
  • No image files are uploaded to our servers
  • No QR code content or decoded data is transmitted anywhere
  • No personal account or registration is required

2. Local Storage

To provide scan history functionality, QRCodeScan uses your browser's localStorage to save scan results on your own device. This data:

  • Is stored only on your device, not on our servers
  • Is never transmitted to us or any third party
  • Can be cleared at any time using the "Clear History" button in each tool
  • Is automatically removed when you clear your browser's site data

These CDN requests may result in standard server log entries (IP address, timestamp) by the CDN provider. We do not control these logs. Please refer to jsDelivr's and Google's privacy policies for details.

4. Analytics

QRCodeScan does not currently use any analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks. We do not track user behavior across pages.

5. Cookies

QRCodeScan does not set any cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Browser localStorage is used only for scan history as described above.

6. Camera Access

When you use the webcam scanner, your browser will request camera permission. Camera video is processed locally in real time. no video is recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can revoke camera permission at any time through your browser settings.

7. Children's Privacy

QRCodeScan does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The service is a general utility tool not directed at children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
